“One must become colourless while playing with colours.” – Rev. Babuji Maharaj.

Sri. Ramakrishna

 Namasthe !

My humble pranams to the holy feet of our beloved brother Pujya Sri K C Narayana garu and all my brothers and sisters of the Natural Path.

The present message is taken from Silence Speaks page 533 on the topic of Holy. In this message Revered Master states that we must become colourless while playing with colours.  My understanding from this message is that, while discharging all our worldly responsibilities with due respect and care, without getting carried away by those we must reach the goal of human life - Realisation, that is to realise one’s own nature which is Divine and live accordingly. When comes to our worldly life, it is filled with the colours of both joy or sorrow and comfort or miseries.  And the call of our beloved Master is that we must become colourless while playing with these colours.

Now the question in front of us is how to become colourless. As an aspirant of the Natural Path we know that when ever we do anything by applying our head and heart we form certain impressions. That means whenever we apply our intentional consciousness to an act or event we form the impressions.  These impressions further lead to actions and could cause sorrow or miseries and joy or comforts.    Moreover the sorrow and miseries are all part of life and every body goes through them to a certain degree in one’s own life and no human being is really exception to them. And for those who get entangled by these impressions, the life may appear to be miserable or unhappy or meaning less.

Many people also satisfy or try to justify their wrong actions by thinking that they did just what they felt in their hearts as right thing to do or did according to their internal conscience..etc. But one needs to understand that unless we are free from these impressions and keep our hearts as pure as possible, our conscious cannot give the right signals. So keeping the goal of life in view, we should be living in this world without getting attached either to comforts and joy or perturbed by the sorrow and miseries. Fortunately by practicing certain meditational methods under PAM and the support of our beloved Master in the form of Pranahuti, we could become free from these impressions and live up to the expectations of the Divine.

Revered Master also states on the subject of Parallelism (Silence Speaks, page no# 530) that we should be flying with both wings, of Worldly life and Spiritual life. In the worldly life most of the people are attached mainly to their children or loved ones and their Property.  And if we see in general most of the problems or miseries in life are due to the excessive attachment towards them.  But if we understand and realize that it is the God who is in expression through all of us, the children and all other worldly responsibilities are entrusted to us as a trustee by God then we may not be forming an un-due attachment towards them.

This reminds me of some famous quotes on children, given by Gibran Kahlil Gibran who is a Lebanon born Philosopher / Prophet. ( taken from the following website http://tyros.leb.net/gibran )

“ Your children are not your children.

They are the sons and daughters of Life’s longing for itself.

They come through you but not from you,

And though they are with you, yet they belong not to you.

You may give them your love but not your thoughts.

For they have their own thoughts.

You may house their bodies but not their souls,

For  their souls dwell in the house of tomorrow, which you cannot visit, not even in your dreams.

You may strive to be like them, but seek not to make them like you.

For  life goes not backward nor  tarries with yesterday.

You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth.

The archer sees the mark upon the path of the Infinite, and He bends you with His might that His arrows may go swift and far.

Let your bending in the archer’s hand be for gladness;

For  even as He loves the arrow that flies, so He loves also the bow that is stable.”

And the call of our beloved Master is also that, “We should love everybody in the family without being soiled by attachment. We should live a life like the coot and the ducks in the water, which when they are out of water, have no effect of water on their wings.” ( Taken from the message ‘Love – Universal’ given by Pujya Babuji Maharaj during Ashram Inauguration at Shahjahanpur in January 1976)

Dear brethren, many people think that it’s easier to say or good to hear some of these fine words of Spiritualism than follow in real life.

Without going into much details, I could confidently say that, with the great support of our beloved Master and the Sadhana, I was able to discharge my duties and get back to my normal life quickly when my beloved father passed away couple of years ago. And I am sure many of us have their own experiences to say confidently that it’s all practicable by following the Natural Path as advocated by our beloved Master.

Seeking the forgiveness of our beloved Master if there are any mistakes in understanding of the Master’s message, I would like to thank you all for giving me this opportunity to share my few thoughts on the present topic.
